Organic & Green Lifestyle – Herbal Diet

About the Event:

How to make the daily diet become more "organic", experience the new trend of the green culture? Just start from the daily life, choose the food with its production process that is complied with organic procedures, and obtained the certification from local food administration, so as to reduce harm to the environment, which will make life more "organic". In fact, the choice of organic food not only enhances personal health, reduce the absorption of residual synthetic chemicals (such as pesticides, herbicides and veterinary drugs, etc.) and additives, but also benefits our natural environment and the ecosystems, so that everyone can live in a better environment. 

Mr Ng, unit head of Campus Development and Management Office – Landscape Division and students from the former Green Society are going to organise an organic diet event at 4 pm on 23 February 2017. They will share with you on how to process different organic food and herbal tea with a variety of organic vegetables and herbs, which were planted at the Organic Plantation Yard by themselves. If you want to have a more comprehensive understanding of the organic food and herbal tea, as well as to experience the essence of green living culture, please register via Online Registration Form.

 

Event Rundown & Section:

4:00pm – 4:05pm       Introduction of organic planting & green life 
4:05pm – 4:15 pm      Making of herbal tea 
4:15 pm – 4:45 pm     Making of organic salad 
4:45 pm – 5:15 pm     Making of lemongrass chicken wing
5:15 pm – 6:00 pm     Food tasting & leasing of organic plantation yard

Participant will receive a copy of recipe of herbal tea and organic food and student participants will have 2 credits of ECA-hour.  Event charge for food material purchase at HK$20/person will be collected at the booth of Green Society outside the M Canteen between 20 – 22 February.
